Preplanning Your Funeral

Preplanning your funeral with the parish can be done at any time. The benefit of planning ahead is that you have your wishes known to your family and friends. The gift you leave your loved ones is that they do not have to make those decisions. Schedule a time to come into the parish and discuss those arrangement.

Funeral Volunteers
When the parish is notified of a death the team of funeral helpers are notified. This ministry is one that provides support in a variety of ways to the families. Listed below are a few of the ways volunteers from the parish can assist families in their time of need.
- Altar Servers - serve during the Mass of Christian Burial
- Dinner Servers - help setup/serve/clean up after the meal. Time frame is about 3 hours.
- Hospitality Ministers - assist the family and friends with any needs before and during the Mass.
- Host/Hostess - serve refreshments during the visitation in the Sacred Heart Room.

Funeral Bereavement
- The Bereavement Ministry offers support to those who are suffering with the loss of a loved one. This group contacts every family who has suffered a loss. We offer support and follow-up with monthly mailings.
