Calling all high schoolers! In our ever-changing world, Jesus is the answer to the longing of our hearts for meaning, fulfillment, security, and love. Join hundreds of Catholic teens at Steubenville Mid-America (Springfield, MO) on July 17-19 to be transformed by the love of Christ.
This is our third year of attending the Steubenville Conference. Last year we travelled from Appleton with neighboring parishes. St. Therese is organizing the traveling so we will be traveling with them, students from St. Thomas More, and they are welcoming students from other parishes as well. We will be traveling from Appleton to the Conference on July 16th and returning July 20th. All rising freshmen in high school, through rising freshmen in college are invited to attend this retreat with our group (8th-12th grade).
I am sorry for the short notice, if your teens are interested in attending this year’s conference, I will need to know as soon as possible. To reserve your spot by making a $100 non-refundable deposit per attendee at the Sacred Heart parish office. The total cost of the trip will be $325. The payment is to make sure that we have enough transportation to the conference. Sacred Heart will cover the remaining $225, if your student participates in Sacred Heart parish fund-raising events that will be held. For example, working the fish fry during Lent and others. This will only cover the youth attending Faith Formation this year. This is an excellent and fun event for catholic children. My children and I attended it last year, and it was very educational, spiritual, and brings you closer to your faith. If you are interested in learning more about the conference, please click on this link: https://steubystl.com/ contact Debecca Olson by replying to this email or at 920-739-3196 ex. 139 if your student is interested in attending. If you have questions and concerns, please let me know.
If the Sacred Heart Parish has more than eight students attending, I will need a chaperon to attend. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please let me know since there is required training.
This group of adults and youth work with the Youth Ministry to plan and implement Youth Ministry programs in the parish.
